Three Cotton College students missing since Thursday; missing students failed in their exams, say college authorities

May 12 (NL Web Desk): Three students of Cotton College, Guwahati, have been missing since Thursday morning, ever since leaving for college from their respective houses. Partha Pratim Mali, Wahidur Rahman and Tonmoy Kathar — all residents of Guwahati and students of higher secondary science stream — did not return home from college, with parents of the missing students hinting at some foul play.
While Partha Pratim Mali lives with his parents at Bamunimaidam, Wahidur Rahman stays at Lokhra while Tonmoy Kathar is a resident of Paltan Bazaar locality.
Meanwhile, adding a completely new twist to the entire event, Cotton College authorities claimed the three missing students have failed in their first year examinations and that could be related to their disappearance.
“The three students had passed out with flying colours in their HSLC examinations. They have, however, failed in their first year exams,” Cotton College Principal Nirada Devi said.
