APSC cash-for-job scam: Dibrugarh Police summon 26 ACS-APS officers for questioning

June 8 (NL Web Desk): Dibrugarh Police investigating the cash-for-jobs scam in the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) have summoned a total of 26 ACS and APS officers for questioning tomorrow based on statements made before police by arrested APSC officials and clues picked up by investigators from tests conducted on answer scripts recovered from the commission’s office.
Most of the officials summoned to appear before investigating Dibrugarh Police officers at the Special Branch headquarters of the Assam Police at Kahilipara in Guwahati tomorrow had cleared the Assam civil services in 2014 (advertisement published in 2013). They were appointed a year later in 2015.
Among the officials summoned by Dibrugarh Police to appear before it include Rajarshi Sen Deka, son of former Assam Agrigulture Minister Nilamoni Sen Deka, along with others who are known to have had close relations with Rakesh Paul.
There APSC cleared bureaucrats were earlier arrested by Dibrugarh Police in connection with the cash-for-jobs scam.
