Paresh Barua admits ULFA(I) abducted Kuldeep Moran, says he’s safe, will be released if ’innocent’

GUWAHATI, Aug 24: ULFA(I) chief Paresh Barua Wednesday admitted to the outfit abducting Kuldeep Moran whose abduction and the subsequent video the outfit sent showing him appealing to the government to secure his early release had created sensation and raised questions on ULFA(I)’s latest ISIS’s video.

“He is safe and is in our custody. We will require 10-12 days to investigate whether he is guilty of spying on the outfit’s activities and then decide what our future course of action will be. If he’s found innocent, we will release him,” the self-styled ULFA(I) commander-in-chief told NEWS LIVE over telephone from an undisclosed location.

In a sensational disclosure, the ULFA9I) chief said Kuldeep’s elder brother was also abducted but was later released. He also trained guns on Sadia MLA Bolin Chetia and Margherita legislator Bhaskar Sarma accusing them of instigating Ratneswar Moran, Kuldeep’s father, to spy on the outfit.

The ULFA chief refuted reports that Rs 1 crore ransom was slapped on Ratneswar Moran for his son’s release.
